Support Information: When you contact us via WhatsApp or Email, we receive basic technical details (Device Model, Android Version, and App Version) solely to help resolve your issues.

3. Use of Sensitive Permissions

To provide a reliable focus environment, Focus Zone requires the following system permissions. We only use these to manage distractions, and no data from these services is collected for external use:

Accessibility Service

This is the core "engine" of the app. It allows us to detect when a blocked app is launched so we can display a focus overlay. We do not read your screen content or collect keystrokes.

Usage Stats (App Usage Access)

Used to track the time you spend on specific apps to provide you with focus analytics and reports.

Notification Access

Required to intercept and hide distracting notifications while a focus session is active.

Display Over Other Apps

Allows the app to show the "Focus Zone" overlay screen on top of distracting apps to prevent their use.

Background Permission & Battery Optimization

Necessary to ensure the app remains active in the background. Disabling battery optimization prevents the system from "killing" the app, ensuring your focus session isn't interrupted.

Alarms & Reminders

Used to accurately schedule the start and end of your focus sessions and to trigger alerts even when the device is in a sleep state.

Important: Accessibility Service

Focus Zone uses the Accessibility Service for the sole purpose of detecting when a blocked app is opened. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data, nor do we track your keystrokes or screen content. This permission is strictly used to trigger the focus overlay.

4. Log Data

Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products). This may include your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app at the time of the error, and other statistics.
We may use third-party services like Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability. These services may collect information used to identify your device, crash logs, and app interaction data to help us fix bugs.

5. Data Storage and Security

Local Processing: Almost all data processing (app blocking, timer logic, and focus stats) happens locally on your device.

Security: We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your information, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

6. Support & Communication

If you choose to use our support features:

WhatsApp Support: Messages are sent via WhatsApp's secure platform.

Email Support: Messages are sent via your chosen email provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, etc.).

Technical debug info is included in these messages only to assist in troubleshooting.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Payment Processing: All payments and subscriptions are processed securely through the Google Play Billing System.

Financial Data: Focus Zone does not collect or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial information.

Transaction Records: We only receive confirmation of the transaction and subscription status from Google Play to unlock premium features for your account.

Refunds & Cancellations: All subscription management and refund requests are handled directly through your Google Play Store account settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

9. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

Since most of your focus data is stored locally on your device, it is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app. If you have provided personal information through support emails and wish for it to be deleted, please contact us at [email protected].
